Award winning Italian chef and restaurateur, Aldo Zilli has launched his new and innovative vegetarian restaurant, Zilli Green in Soho - the first ever Italian vegetarian chef with a fusion mind from across the world. Here's what some of our customers have said about their visit.
“The ambience in the restaurant was just right for us – we have always loved Italy, and it took us back to the many happy times we have had there. Being where you are in Soho helps, and the staff were friendly and helpful, with just the right attitude. And it was good that you were there, chatting with the customers and helping to build the friendly atmosphere. Second, the food was just right for us. It isn’t difficult to find vegetarian food in the UK (in contrast to some other countries), but there are few high quality restaurants where everything on the menu is vegetarian. It was great not to have to think about whether our choices were vegetarian or not, and not to have to ask the waiting staff about whether individual items were vegetarian – we could just choose what we wanted. And the food itself was spot-on – good combinations of ingredients, recognisably Italian, but still innovative. As we love Italian food, but get a bit tired of pizza, Zilli Green will now become our Italian restaurant of choice.”

"Thanks very much for lunch today, which was delicious and entertaining. It was akin to eating an atlas, with every dish so well grounded in its region. Particular highlights were the sushi (a bit of a surprise), the artichoke tart (simple, but so well executed), the broccoli tempura (such a great vegetable), the black bean chilli (the essence of smoky Mexico) and the pasta (just sublime). To be honest, I could easily have gone on listing all the food. I really hope the concept continues to do well. I will be back soon to introduce the girlfriend to its delights."

"Our thanks to you and your staff for an excellent evening last Saturday at your new ‘Green’ restaurant. This was our first visit and we are looking forward to returning next time we are in Soho. The menu you have created is interestingly varied and the freshness of ingredients and flavours of the dishes we chose were superb. We very much enjoyed the skilful preparation and presentation that went into the food. It offered us value for money with no compromise on quality and quantity. We were looked after extremely well from the time we arrived by your attentive and delightful staff. It was an added pleasure to meet your chef when he was out front and to hear from you both some of the technical aspects of the menu. The décor and ambience you have created are calming and welcoming in the buzz and busyness that is Soho.
